Home Energy Label Program
Up to $7,500 EnerGuide Label Rebate
The Home Energy Label Program empowers Calgarians to understand their home’s energy use and make informed decisions to reduce their energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
By assigning an energy rating to a home, often on a scale similar to appliance labels, these programs empower consumers to make informed decisions about energy costs, potential savings, and environmental impact.
This valuable tool goes beyond simply rating a home’s efficiency. It also provides detailed insights into the home’s energy performance, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting energy-efficient upgrades. By promoting energy-conscious choices, home energy label programs contribute to reducing overall energy consumption, mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, and increasing the market value of energy-efficient homes.
The Home Energy Label Program New Home Pilot is accepting enrollments until December 31, 2024. Participating builders receive a $250 rebate per energy label up to a maximum of $7,500 per applicant.
